Charity news: over £2600 raised for World Central Kitchen

It feels really lovely to be able to do something however small that will have such an important effect. This Sunday we raised over £2600 for World Central Kitchen. A massive thanks to all the students and teachers.

About World Central Kitchen
WCK (World Central Kitchen) responds to natural disasters, man-made crises, and humanitarian emergencies around the world. They are a team of food first responders, mobilising with the urgency of now to get meals to the people who need them most. On February 24, Russia launched a large-scale attack on neighbouring Ukraine, invading the country on several fronts. As a result, thousands of Ukrainian families fled their homes in search of safety. Working at a 24-hour pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland, WCK began serving hot, nourishing meals on Friday evening. WCK has a team on their way to Romania to support Ukrainians arriving there. They also have teams headed to Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary to see where they can best be of support. Beginning on Sunday, they started working with restaurants in Odessa and Lviv, two cities in Ukraine, to support families who have remained in the country. As the situation continues to evolve, WCK remains ready to expand their support for families in need.
