There are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.

Bhagavad Gītā 9.22

Here Krishna is saying that by devoting ourselves to him he will support all our needs in this life and free us from the bondage of karma. If we make the purpose of life realisation of Krishna, realisation of God, Krishna will carry what we need. We might be worried that if we focus on Krishna there will be no one to take care of our jobs, our families etc. but Krishna is saying if we involve ourselves in work and usual activities with devotion to him, he will take care of the rest.

Krishna is not saying he will give us what we want. He’s not going to help us win the lottery or buy us a fancy sports car. Instead, he’s going to provide what's needed for spiritual realisation. This might not necessarily be the things we want; Krishna may ask us to face difficulties with the idea that these challenges will move us closer on our spiritual path.
